$5,000 grant to Natick Service Council supports job training

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation recently awarded $5,000 to the Natick Service Council in support of training and employment services provided by the Joan H. Brack Career Development Center.

The Brack Center works with local businesses, labor, education, workforce and community-based organizations to prepare local youth and adults for a wide range of job opportunities.

“It’s important to reach out to help our neighbors, particularly in today’s uncertain economic environment,“ said Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation.

“We support the Natick Service Council’s goal of helping local low income and under-employed residents along the path to gainful employment, self-sufficiency and economic independence,” he added.

Over the past two years, the Foundation has also supported the Natick Service Council‘s Food Pantry and its “Corporate Sponsor of the Month” program with grants totaling $3,500.
