Charitable Foundation grants $5,000 to VNA free prescription drug program

VNAThe MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded a grant of $5,000 to the Natick Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) in support of the nonprofit’s MetroWest Meds program which helps people stay healthy by enabling them to remain compliant with their prescribed medications.

The grant was announced today by Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a trustee of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, which has supported MetroWest Meds with awards totaling $25,000 over the past five years.

According to Natick VNA CEO Judith Boyko, the program has served over 3,300 clients and has saved over $4.4 million in prescription drug costs since its inception in 2004,

“Thanks to the support of generous local funders like the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, the Natick VNA helps thousands of people remain safe and healthy in their homes,” said Boyko.
