McAuliffeWith its recent $2,500 grant, the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has helped turn the Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter School’s plan for a new building “into a concrete reality,” according to Kristin Harrison, the School’s executive director.

Harrison stated that the Foundation award will help the School finish its fund drive.

Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter School is one of over 165 Expeditionary Learning Schools (ELS) nationwide and one of 15 schools in Massachusetts. Expeditionary Learning emphasizes high achievement through active learning, character growth, and teamwork. Its extensive development program provides teachers with instructional methods to strengthen student learning through challenging, interdisciplinary, real-world projects that engage scholars in actively applying their knowledge and skills in ways that serve both their learning and their community.

“We are pleased to help the School in its fundraising efforts, and to be a part of the continued academic success of its students,” said Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation.
