Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Bank Charitable Foundation trustee has announced an $8,000 grant to the MetroWest ESL Fund. The donation will support the free adult English as a second language classes to help people learn the language and culture of the US.
According to John J. O’Neil III, director of Adult ESL, while the program currently serves over 850 students, there are 700 more waiting. The MutualOne grant will fund a semester of free English classes for 19 students.
“We are pleased to support MetroWest ESL’s efforts to expand access to their life-changing programs,” said Haranas.
