Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee has announced a $3,000 grant to Framingham’s Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer to support their Helping Hands program.

The Helping Hands program provides selected patients undergoing active chemotherapy treatments with fully prepared, flash frozen meals for their use, according to Executive Director Susan Paterson.

“Among the many challenges faced by ovarian cancer patients is maintaining a healthy, well-balanced diet,” said Sousa. “The Helping Hands program fills that role, and we are very happy to assist.”
