Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee, has announced a $5,000 Foundation grant to the Natick Housing Authority (NHA) to support their program to close the digital divide.
As part of the program, free T-Mobile® tablets are provided to NHA residents by the government. The Foundation’s grant will help expand Wi-Fi access, enabling residents to communicate with health care providers, connect with family, and get access to information.
“The pandemic has made it clear that lack of internet access is a major barrier for elderly residents to remain engaged in society,” said Haranas. “We are pleased that MutualOne Bank can offer assistance.”
