Team Spotlight: Brady Connors
When Brady Connors joined MutualOne Bank in 2013, he had built a solid reputation over 30 years as a commercial lender, booking over $1 billion in loans during his tenure at 11 New England financial institutions.
Before embarking on his banking career, Brady was raised in Marblehead as one of 7 children in a family of Irish Catholic descent. He was an avid sailor — even racing as a teenager as part of the One Design (IOD) fleet. While he no longer sails competitively, he has picked up many other interests including gardening and golfing. Unfortunately, while he may have been born with a green thumb, he says he does not have the same skill when it comes to golf.
Now living in Carlisle with his wife and two Chihuahuas — who love him more than their three kids — Brady enjoys whipping up delicious dishes for his family, when his wife allows him in the kitchen. (Perhaps the dogs like him because there are lots of leftovers?)
Next time you see Brady, make sure you say hello — and ask him what he’s cooking up next!
Hamill named branch manager of MutualOne’s Natick office
Colm Hamill has been promoted to branch manager of MutualOne Bank’s Natick office, according to an announcement made today by Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer. In his new role, Hamill will be responsible for the administration and daily operations of the Main Street branch, including customer service, product sales, and security and safety.
Hamill joined MutualOne Bank as a senior personal banker in February of 2017, with prior financial services experience at Citizens Bank, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. Earlier in his career, he served as marketing manager and coach with Global Premier Soccer. He has also held coaching positions with Wellesley High School, Florida Fire Juniors youth soccer, the New England Futbol Club, and Boston Breakers Academy.
He holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Salford, both in the United Kingdom.
MutualOne Foundation awards $10K for free mental health care for seniors
Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, announced today that the Foundation has awarded $10,000 to support a free mental health care program provided to Framingham and Natick senior citizens by Advocates, a Framingham-based nonprofit organization.
Advocates’ mental health clinic provided treatment to more than 2,500 Natick and Framingham seniors struggling with anxiety, loneliness, depression and other mental health issues last year, according to Diane E. Gould, president and CEO. The Foundation grant will enable Advocates to provide 120 hours of free mental health services to those seniors impacted by Medicare insurance restrictions, Gould said.
“This is a segment of our population that is frequently overlooked when it comes to mental health issues, and who may be particularly challenged by restrictions involving treatment coverage,” said Lamprey. “We are proud to be able to help Advocates help our seniors by providing the care they need.”
Employees of the Month – March 2018
Congratulations to Senior Account Representative, Gabriela (Gaby) Bonina and Information & Risk Analyst Nicole Notarangelo on their selection as this month’s Employees of the Month.
Gaby was selected because even though she has only been with us for a short time, we could not be happier with her performance. She is an extremely fast learner, innate sales person and valuable team member. Some of her personal accomplishments include top engagement numbers in the department, ability to handle multiple schedules at a time, and proven success in customer relationship management.
Nicole was chosen because she has been an integral part of selecting and setting up a new vendor that will streamline an important system for the Bank. She also completed a project using advanced report writing skills while learning about specific products. Her project will be a huge asset to the commercial loan department.
