Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee, has announced a $5,000 Foundation grant to the Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham. The award will support the efforts of Amazing Things to expand, improve, and publicize its three visual arts galleries.
“The Foundation grant will help build community by introducing the work of hundreds of MetroWest visual artists to a broader audience,” said Haranas. “We are pleased to play a role in making that happen.”
Two Amazing Things art galleries are located in the organization’s Hollis Street headquarters and a third is at the Starbucks on Route 9, all in Framingham.

Rain couldn’t dampen our spirits, or our fun, as a Banana Boat sponsor of Scoopapalooza in Natick. The annual event benefits SPARK Kindness and youth scholarships.
Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, has announced a $5,000 grant to the Bacon Free Library in Natick. The award will help refresh the Library’s collection of current and classic books on CD.
“We are pleased to help update and expand Bacon Free Library’s audio book resources,” said Lamprey. “This is a project that reaches a large segment of patrons, providing a valuable option beyond traditional books and modern technology.”
Congratulations to Frank Chamberlain, vice president, credit officer and Cheryl Suarez, deposit operations manager. They recently graduated from an intensive two-year program at the New England School for Financial Studies.
What better way to celebrate Father’s Day, than sponsoring and attending the 2017 Tour de Natick Ride for Scholars? The annual event raises money for the Rotary Club of Natick’s Charitable Foundation to benefit Natick Scholars, which awards scholarships to graduating Natick High School Seniors, as well as supports the Club’s third-grade Dictionary Program.
