MutualOne Bank Promotes Don Grieco

Dr. Kristin Carvalho, President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the promotion of Donald Grieco to Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Loan Underwriter and Commercial Credit Apprentice.

Grieco has been with the Bank since 2014 and, prior to his promotion, served as Senior Mortgage Loan Underwriter. In his role, he will continue to oversee mortgage loan underwriting while expanding his knowledge of commercial credit analysis.

Specializing in mortgage loan operations for the past 20 years, Grieco focuses on conventional underwriting, personal credit, financial analysis, and property appraisal evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Ithaca College.

MutualOne Bank Promotes Pia Cordes

Dr. Kristin Carvalho, Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the promotion of Pia Cordes to Vice President, Project & Core Banking Manager.

Cordes joined the Bank in 2018 and, prior to her promotion, served as Assistant Vice President, Project and Core Bank Manager. Her new responsibilities include overseeing strategic projects and interacting with key stakeholders by delegating during the project life cycle. She also plays a critical role in maintaining a strong and active relationship with the Bank’s core provider, to facilitate ongoing collaboration, product acquisition, and support, as well as process improvements.

As a member of the Massachusetts Banker Association’s Steering Committee, Cordes works to empower the next generation of leaders in the banking industry.

MutualOne Bank Welcomes Brito to Bank Team

Dr. Kristin Carvalho, President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the hiring of Gicelle Brito as Vice President, Market Area Commercial Loan Officer.

With extensive experience supporting local businesses and fostering local growth, Brito brings over 15 years of experience to the Bank’s commercial lending team. Before joining MutualOne Bank, she served as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer at Northern Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Fitchburg State University.

Outside of work, Brito continues to support the community through civic engagement, which includes volunteering as a camp committee member for the Greater Boston YMCA and serving on the Hudson Business Association. Additionally, she is currently involved with Habitat for Humanity Greater Lowell, where she serves as a board member, chair of the golf committee, and a member of the gala committee.

Rivers to Promoted to Vice President, Director of Human Resources & Clerk of MutualOne Bank

Dr. Kristin Carvalho, President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the promotion of Michelle Rivers to Vice President, Director of Human Resources and Clerk of MutualOne Bank.

Rivers joined the team in 2016, most recently serving as Vice President and Human Resources Officer, overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources strategies and functions of the Bank.

She holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the New England College of Business, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business management and an associate degree in business from Dean College. Rivers also received her paralegal certification from Northeastern University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Morrissey Graduates from New England School for Financial Studies

MutualOne Bank’s team member Dominique Morrissey graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies.

New England School for Financial Studies is a two-year program designed to equip banking professionals with the tools and skills necessary to effectively manage their banks in today’s evolving industry. Students engage in lectures and case studies covering a range of topics, including operations and retail bank marketing.

Dominique graduated with honors and was recognized as the second-highest-performing student in her class.

MutualOne Bank promotes Bakary to AVP, Commercial Credit Team Lead

Dr. Kristin Carvalho, President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the promotion of Shihab Bakary to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Team Lead.

Bakary joined MutualOne Bank in 2021 as a Credit Analyst and most recently served as a Senior Credit Analyst. He has a Master of Science in Financial Analysis from NEOMA Business School in Reims and Paris, France.
