When Brady Connors joined MutualOne Bank in 2013, he had built a solid reputation over 30 years as a commercial lender, booking over $1 billion in loans during his tenure at 11 New England financial institutions.

Before embarking on his banking career, Brady was raised in Marblehead as one of 7 children in a family of Irish Catholic descent. He was an avid sailor — even racing as a teenager as part of the One Design (IOD) fleet. While he no longer sails competitively, he has picked up many other interests including gardening and golfing. Unfortunately, while he may have been born with a green thumb, he says he does not have the same skill when it comes to golf.

Now living in Carlisle with his wife and two Chihuahuas — who love him more than their three kids — Brady enjoys whipping up delicious dishes for his family, when his wife allows him in the kitchen. (Perhaps the dogs like him because there are lots of leftovers?)

Congratulations to Senior Account Representative, Gabriela (Gaby) Bonina and Information & Risk Analyst Nicole Notarangelo on their selection as this month’s Employees of the Month.

Gaby was selected because even though she has only been with us for a short time, we could not be happier with her performance. She is an extremely fast learner, innate sales person and valuable team member. Some of her personal accomplishments include top engagement numbers in the department, ability to handle multiple schedules at a time, and proven success in customer relationship management.

Nicole was chosen because she has been an integral part of selecting and setting up a new vendor that will streamline an important system for the Bank. She also completed a project using advanced report writing skills while learning about specific products. Her project will be a huge asset to the commercial loan department.

Since joining the Bank in 1990, Business Development Officer Mike Bilinsky has held various positions including Branch Manager before heading up the Business Development team in 2009.

As his career grew, so did his family with whom he enjoys spending time traveling and vacationing on Cape Cod, as well as coaching youth baseball in his hometown of Westborough. These days, he’s anxiously waiting for the snow to melt and the warm weather to arrive so he can enjoy some of his favorite pastimes including hosting summer barbeques, fishing and cooking seafood, and attending live music events (including U2, which he has seen over 30 times in concert!).

Congratulations to Senior Service Representative Debra Miranda and IT Specialist Damien Booker on their selection as this month’s Employees of the Month.

Debra was selected because of her positive attitude, her initiative to follow up with customers and her willingness to learn new programs. Damien was selected because he took over a project to improve our systems and even came in on a holiday weekend to complete the work.
