Dr. Kristin Carvalho, President and Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced that the MutualOne Bank Charitable Foundation awarded $80,500 in grants to local nonprofits.
The foundation awarded five $10,000 grants to Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Mass and Metrowest, Inc, to fund their 1:1 Mentoring program, Framingham Economic Development Corporation for the Internship Program for Workforce Development, Literations to support the literacy tutoring program in Framingham, Spark Kindness, Inc, to aid the Resilient Community educational programming series, and Saint Bridget School to support the Touchscreen Interactive Panel Initiative project.
Additional grants of $5,000 were awarded to Adolescent Consultation Services to support direct mental health services, Citizens for Juvenile Justice to fund the Multisystem Youth Project, and Medfield Afterschool Program, Inc. to aid families with tuition assistance and financial need programs.
The Foundation also made a $8,000 donation to Wildstar Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy, Inc, for operations, and $7,500 to Dignity Matters to support the Menstrual Care Program that provides aid to low-income women and girls.
